Nova Scotia has some of the highest rates of cancer in the country. The number of new cases continues to rise steadily as our population ages and so does the demand for affordable lodging while receiving cancer treatment. In 2017, The Lodge was a home away from home for over 800 guests from across the Maritimes.

Currently fully funded by donor dollars, The Canadian Cancer Society appreciates each and every donor who has made the Sobey Cancer Support Centre and The Dr Susan K. Roberts Lodge That Gives possible. Because of our donors, the Sobey Cancer Support Centre is a beacon of light to Nova Scotia families and a true partner for Nova Scotian patients during their cancer journey.

Meet our Generous Donors

Whether a multi-million dollar gift or, , or the proceeds from one of our many community based Cancer Fighter events, each dollar contributed to the Canadian Cancer Society supports patients living with cancer by providing support, programs, research or accommodations. Sobey Cancer Support Center would not have been possible without our donors.
